Great session. This was the first session I have attended and proved to be well worth the drive up from Manitou Springs.

Who attended?

  • 424 attendees
    •  The Microscope company and the audience didnt seem to quite understand what should be covered in a BOD meeting...maybe it would make sense to do a mock company with people role-playing to show how it should run?
    •  Good show!
    • Richard Hackathorn (+1 guest)
it was a kick. fun... exciting... and even informative
    •  fun fun fun
    •  Liked the new "microscope" format addition...it worked pretty well & got everybody's juices flowing...sort of a good warm up phase...later...Brad's marketing stint was pure entertainment..."funny"..."you think I'm funny?"..."funny how?"..."am I a clown to you?"...no, no, no...but a court jester?...hmmm...
    •  The meeting content was exciting and the presenters were engaging. The meeting was well run and the format was excellent. This was my first meeting and I was very impressed with the focus and delivery.
    •  Last night was a lot of fun. Piano playing, singing, huge board meeting and microfailures. What more could you want.
    •  I appreciate the occasional changes to the format.
    •  It's always just a great atmosphere. The new format was a nice change of pace--nice to see people we had seen before and hear how they're doing.
    • Lon Riesberg (+1 guest)
Awesome! I appreciate the continued innovation in the organization of these meetings. The "microscope" is a great idea. As is the "lessons learned" presentation about a failed startup. I also appreciate the organizers' goal and awareness of getting people to mingle. This is a VERY vibrant community which will greatly benefit by all the cross pollination.
    •  This was my first meetup and I really enjoyed the format of the meeting. I liked that people are able to make public announcements and I liked all of the presentations.
    •  I liked the format change. It helps to be hearing what didn't work and hearing the audience recommendations for new businesses.
    •  As a first time attendee, it was refreshing to feel the energy within the room & the commitment/passion in helping to build the tech community in Colorado. The new format (as it was deemed) was good & will only improve with a few tweaks. Suggest adding a 1st slide bio for each presenting company that includes current standing (ie. phase of development/funding/resourcing/etc....), what they need from the community, & contact info (Twitter handles, web sites, etc...) One delta I would point out is the running twitter screens for bdnt as it seemed to detract @ times from the presenters receiving full attention. Tough piece to balance as it actively engages those that are remote.
    •  Good energy. Enjoyed "Under the microscope" and the company failure post mortem.
    •  Keep reviewing companies. The board pitch needs work however the concept is dead on! I recommend a review of one company a session if that is possible.
    • Vasa Dasan (+1 guest)
Useful and and efficient use of time. Good networking.

I look forward to seeing the new features Robert has introduced evolve. Thanks Robert for your head-power to make BDNT rock!
    •  My first time attending. I am a writer/editor -- one of thousands of newly laid-off journalists. My technological knowledge is absolutely minimal. However, I thought the meeting was very interesting. I saw a few familiar faces, and got a real sense of where the scene is at. It was especially enlightening to see the feedback sessions -- not unlike a writers' seminar.
    •  it was awesome although we should cut out the shaking hands during a flu pandemic ;-) nametags would help!
    •  Great session. This was the first session I have attended and proved to be well worth the drive up from Manitou Springs.
    •  My first experience of the BDNT; it was informative, upbeat and well put together.
    •  1st timer, great event.
    •  Excellent presentations. I like the new additions of Microscope and Micro Failure.
    •  Robert Reich kept the pace up and moving along. General atmosphere jovial as well as very, very informative in the domain of start ups. David Cohen's sharing was poignant as well as instructive. Music Wizard wowed the crowd. This product was a winner. Brad Feld is a hoot. Great content overall. Kudos to localbunny for getting up there and pitching. Hard to hear some of the jobs. I actually was interested in one, but darned if I can figure out what the guy said and I lost track of him visually in the crowd. Please post jobs to this meetup site if they are available. Thanks.
