Does anyone remember the name and details about the App Dev program Danny Newman and his friend mentioned at the beginning? Looking to follow up.

Who attended?

  • 380 attendees
    •  short re. networking / good presentations / good tempo / the DJ is fun & keeps it light/fresh
    •  Nice job moving the presenters along. Having the "credits" type MJ music come in at "time's up" was a nice touch. The room was just plain hot this month. I realize air conditioning is expensive, and keeping the price down is important to me. If there is a way to simply turn on some fans and draw in outside air, that would be a big help.
    •  The presenters were interesting, but there was no continuity between any of them or why people should want to know about those new businesses. There wasn't a main speaker, just the company reps who were promoting their new products. There was very little information that we could apply to our jobs.

Excellent - thanks everyone. Loved the DJ & Michael Jackson tracks, excellent presentations tonight on VERY interesting companies, several services of which I plan to try. Thanks again. PS. I think the donation idea upon entry is great - it's well worth it and you all deserve it.

Awesome company demos. Too hot in the room. DJ was a fun addition.
    •  Aside from the heat (Seriously, I think you could plan for that when you have that many people RSVP), but the presenters were mostly very good. I especially like TimZon. That is something I could use today in my job and will recommend it to our remote testers/writers. It does need a better name. :)
    •  Great presentations, lots of fun. Some interesting new solutions. Music was fun too, although rather loud! It would be nice if the air conditioning actually worked. Hot and muggy.
    •  Great meetup - good companies!
    •  One of the best meetups in recent history.
    •  lose the music - a waste, annoying, and totally counter to the spirit you're trying to engender.

The July 7th Meetup was a hit. The presenters and the flow of the meeting was great.
    •  Fabulous presentations and some great trivia, a new tech-interest segment, etc. Too hot and muggy in the building though!
    • Frank (+1 guest)
The concept is brilliant. The presentations are excellent. All the presenters should be commended for their guts and their determination. This time around, the room was way too hot. The lack of A/C was obviously not helpful to networking. No one wanted to stick around and network. They wanted to run home and shower. It was persecutory.
    •  The 'new' board meeting format is taking root & leading to increased audience participation, but leaves little between 'acts' to converse with your neighbor(s) thus limited in the moment bonding/networking. Suggest having 5 minute pauses b/w presenters to allow for laptop setup & side conversation (not worried about reining people back in as Robert does well @ any point) Enjoyed the DJ burning tunes to kick things off. Looking forward to the next one!
    •  Guess that I am getting old since I could not see from the back and yes, it was tooooooo hot! Great presos, as usual.
    •  My first meetup. Wow, lots going on, lots of people, very cool technology. I love the format.
    •  My first meet-up. Great event, great people, fun! You have to do something about the air conditioning, though... Keep it up, great job!
    •  Best so far. Great companies, good community event. Five stars if the room had been cooler. I know it's not your fault, but can't give it 5.
    •  This was my first meetup...I love the fun, informal yet efficient style of the meetup. Good presenters, thought-provoking presentations.
    •  Enjoyable presentations this time and I liked the DJ.
    •  it was my first time attending bdnt and I have to say it was a great time + excellent presentations. the only negative I would have to say is the room was way too hot.
    •  It was my first meeting and I loved it! The presentations were all very interesting and entertaining. It was a great group of people - a smart, fun crowd.
    •  Great line up of presenters and companies, nice venue, no a/c made for a very hot room.
    •  great - more focused, great presentations.
    •  There were some really interesting products demo'ed there. Lot's of opportunities to meet people as well.
    •  Great group of people; I sensed a very real feeling of comraderie and helpfulness, which is always nice to see in this world of me-firsters. Not exactly my field but still a very interesting group of presentations and individuals.
    •  A little hot. Interesting companies though and generally pretty entertaining event.
    •  Great people. Great ideas. Great pitches. Temperature wasn't so hot.
    •  This was my first meetup. I loved it! I only gave it a "Good" because it was hot in there. I heard that the DJ is generally not there but I thought that was a great touch. It's very invigorating to be in a room with that many talented people. I will be back.
