I thought this was the perfect venue to have the Google gigabit discussion, and thought it was a great meeting overall - my first meeting and def not my last. Does anyone have the email address for Dale - backwoodstudios? He said in the beginning that he was looking for Iphone development? Cheers.

30 minutes sales pitch for a gigabit network for Boulder with hardly a word about why it might be a good thing? Why not just 5+5 min like everyone else?

I will be attending, and I'll be making a very brief announcement about this news that came out this morning: http://www.founderinstitute... Plus I have one other bit of news. If you have questions about the Founder Institute, I'll do my best to answer them before or after the Meetup.

Hey everyone! I would really love to go to this meetup so if you RSVP'd "attending" and don't think you or your guest willl make it please re-RSVP. I'm waitlisted #1. Thanks, appreciate it!

Who attended?

  • 370 attendees
    •  Lots of great presenters, also pumped about Google's gigabit proposal.
    •  Excellent presenters. Good networking opportunity.
    •  really liked seeing the Boxee!
    •  It continues to grow in size and energy. Boxee was great.
    •  Excellent. I appreciated both the open mic forum at the beginning where people were asked to share job openings, and the 5+5 presentations made by the startups. As this was my first meeting, I need to get more involved in the networking and sharing to help my own startup (croesus-mode.com).
    •  Excellent line-up! This was the best one that I have been to in my opinion. I could see myself using products from all of those companies. Great to see Boxee there! I have been a Boxee fan/user for over a year and it was nice not to have to go to NYC to see them.
    • Jim Munro (+1 guest)
Great new companies with convincing pitches and real demos. Enjoyed Boxee's demo and hardware preview. Almost convinced me I should get a TV. ;)
    •  One of the better meetings, some great info and I like the fireside chat..
    •  Good meeting. Robert, you do a great job of keeping people on time. Glad you were able to get a mike for the fireside chat. Last time I couldn't hear the fire side chat.
    •  Great meetup. Going to try out Boxee and Pegshot. Was hoping Matt's presentation on gadgets could have been fitted in.
    •  Interesting and thought-provoking as always. Well worth the time.
    •  A room full of software developers, and a few marketers is good. Especially good is the market orientation ("what's your business model?"). I'm glad to be in Boulder for gatherings like this one.
    •  time limits?? went a bit over. while boxee was interesting, think they had 20 minutes.
    •  I think having food and drink in the courtroom area is necessary, the socializing beforehand was great but VERY crowded. We need more space to make it flow better. Great venue otherwise and well organized overall.
    •  Very stimulating topics.
    •  Great crowd, thanks for the warm reception. If you're interested, you can follow us @happyhourtweets and @tweetspecials and can check out the service at www.tweetspecials.com.
    • Amanda Pingel (+1 guest)
Liked the presenters. The boulderfiber presentation kinda upstaged the others, and would have been better at the end; were you worried about people leaving early?
