I wish you would stream them on Ustream and make this available to people who can't make the meeting.

Had a great time presenting AlchemyAPI. A video of our Android/G1 mobile phone OCR demo app is now posted on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

I posted a new venue for an enjoyable learning experience using new technology. On the message board for Saturday, March 21, the event is a walk in the park and potluck picnic. The topic we will be exploring is the potential of SkillShare, a Boulder exchange of services, to complement our personal and national economic stimulus. SkillShare is a chapter of the national Time Banks. Please read more about it on the message board at www.meetup.com/bdnewtech/messages/boards/thread/6448760

Who attended?

  • 325 attendees
    •  Parking was easy and free. Topics were very interesting.

This was great, but I think I like the other venue better.

This was my first meeting and I was very intrigued. I thought the presentations were great and I learned a lot. I will be back.
    •  The location (and parking) was much better this time - although a few well placed signs inside the Tivoli would have been helpful (it's kind of a maze!) Lack of snacks and beer put a little damper on the initial networking and the crowd seemed a little more subdued this time. It was a good meeting, but not a great one. Looking forward to the next one!
    •  Loved it. Great crowd and good pace.
    •  Hard to find the room, uncomfortable chairs, and the presenters are pretty much all going to fail.
    •  Overall good job. Will there be sponsors with tables in the future? I'd like to see that.
    •  Overall it was great.
    •  Great ideas, interesting/smart/diverse people.
    •  The presentations/companies weren't as interesting as the previous Boulder meetup but that'll happen. Definitely missed the beer and apps though!

This was my first time in attendance and I moved back to Colorado for this sort of thing alone. Kudos to all that made this a great venue for me for my first time. Silicone Valley has NO synergy compared to Boulder. We are the *evolved* Silicone Valley!
    •  Good opportunity to meet other technical people.
    •  Good crisp venue
    •  This was my first meeting. I really appreciated the efficiency of the presentation & questions. Given there were multiple presenters, that efficiency kept interest up for each presentation. Great venue!
    •  Interesting speakers and well organized.
    •  Excellent group of innovators. I really enjoyed hearing about latest technological advancements that are happening locally.
    • Tony Grieder (+1 guest)
I'd appreciate a little more time for the "meet your neighbor" portion of the meetup. We barely got time to say "Hi" before Robert was moving on to the next item on his agenda. I know there is o not as much of this going on as there used to be, but I would be interested in seeing presentations by hardware technologists, as well as software folks.
    •  Need to use some networking techniques to help group cross niches.
    •  Great I will go to as many as possible...
    •  I learned a lot about the area and new things coming up. It was fun and I enjoyed the time there.
    •  Good event. The location and parking is good. The meeting room is fair. The chairs are uncomfortable. There is good space across from the meeting room for the reception. The sound is OK. Not a bad spot although there are no amenities. The University Blvd. location is preferable. Grateful for the group and being included. Thank you for the effort.
    •  No mike for questions and presentors might need a bit of sales and marketing help to present the value propostion. Wasnt aware of drinks or munchies upstairs ( was to be beer- whats with that?) Why was a dude promoting his show and 5K back door passes to a bunch of engineers?
    •  My first meeting - found the technology presentations interesting, particularly those with a business model in mind. Networking was pretty good - perhaps nametags with name / expertise would faciliate more new connections.
    •  I'm thankful this event is being held and would like to see more of them. It is a good networking event, a place to exchange ideas and a place to witness businesses starting-up. At least it is a beneficial learning opportunity. If there was any problems, it was in fully hearing the presentation. There was a bit of an echo/reverb in the back row.
    •  Fantastic - chock full of great people
    • Jay Andersen (+1 guest)
Thought overall the topics/presenters did a good job with interesting topics. Audio for questions needs to be addressed. Acoustics were not good. Need to formalize connecting people who are looking to fill positions with those looking. Just relying on people trying to connect after all the presentations are over doesn't work. Maybe capture those looking for candidates so it can be formally posted.
    •  Great diverse group of people at different stages of business development. All people I met were interested in hearing what I had going on and wanted to share what they were up to. Also, most people were willing to offer contacts and advice to facilitate my efforts. Perfect!

I love the Auraria campus... parking is easy and inexpensive. The room was comforatable. This is a great venue. The presenters were really good and the presentations were too the point and good fun.
